Newly under development is an all-new postgraduate certificate in health communications, consultation and engagement (PgCert-HCCE) The proposed course will cover the full range of skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be proficient and effective in the fields of health engagement, involvement, communication and consultation.
It will reflect and address challenges across the health and care sector including those faced by NHS Trusts and by the new Integrated Care Systems. It will be open to all those who aspire to become better professionals in these important fields.
CHCR is leading development on behalf of the University and in collaboration with the UK’s international renowned Consultation Institute. In addition, this major initiative is supported by NHS Providers, NHS Confederation and the Shelford Group – a collaboration involving the ten largest teaching and research NHS Trusts in England.
Work on the new PgCert-HCCE is at an advanced stage and it is planned provisionally to commence teaching in Spring 2024. You can out more about the proposed new course here.
